Tomato Bush Big Boy Hybrid - 1 Pkt. (30 seeds)

"71 days. Our classic ""Big Boy"" has been made better, especially for small-space gardeners. You get the same number of tasty, big red tomatoes (10 to 11 oz. each), with the same sweet, aromatic, melt-in-your-mouth juiciness as the original. But the compact plants are only half the size! Disease-resistant, easy to grow and ideal for short stakes, cages and tubs. Burpee exclusive.

Great taste and size, September 13, 2008

"These tomatoes are wonderful. They truly stay in bush form and produce large, flavorful fruit that are great for slicing fresh, cooking up into sauce or chili, canning, freezing, etc.

My only reason for giving them less than a perfect ranking is that they are not as prolific as I would like. They are so good, but compared to some of my other large tomato varieties, they simply do not produce quite as well. Regardless, they will certainly be having a spot in my garden for years to come!"

"I grew a few of these tomatoes last year and quite a few rutgers for canning. The big boy bush will replace the rutgers as the primary canning tomato this year. They have less water in them than the rutgers do as well as a great flavor"
