Hard to grow, April 10, 2009

"I had problems getting these seeds to germinate. Only 1 plant in 10 seeds grew to full size last year. Didn't try this type again this year. (The giant red bells from the grocery store germinated 6 volunteer plants in my compost pile, so I'm going with those, and the Costa Rican Sweets again this year.)

It would probably do better in a garden, but my container was large (15 gallon), and this plant still didn't make any fruit larger than a typical bell. And the fruit was slow to ripen, but when it did, it was truely delicious. There are probably better choices unless you are an expert, and can wait for great taste."

"Peppers were nice size but never turned yellow. I would try to wait for them to turn but they would rot."
