"HEIRLOOM. 88 days. A succulent and enormous dark 1-1/2 to 2 lb. pink tomato that many gardeners prefer to the more acidic varieties. The flavor is sweet and very mild, and the large fruits are very attractive. Indeterminate. Pink-skinned tomatoes occur as a result of a clear skin over red flesh. (Ordinary red tomatoes have yellow skin over red flesh.) When ripe fruits retain green pigment, tomatoes take on purple and brownish hues."

"This tomato has a wonderful, subtle flavor, enhanced by it's lack of "sourness" due to the low acidity. I tried these last year because my wife was having stomach problems and couldn't handle the acid in regular tomatoes. I expected them to be mild, but I was surprised to find that the flavor was so good. They are easy to grow in a tomato cage, and yield lots of tomatoes for a long time. I used some to make chili sauce, and it turned out pretty spectacular as well."
