Great First year bloomer, January 23, 2008

"I planted 3 of these dwarf monarda in my south facing, brutally hot and dry front bed. They performed beautifully from the tiny transplants I got.

Initially I was concerned about their size, but after a bit of babying they grew very well and bloomed multiple times over the summer.

We have had a warm winter, relatively speaking, here in Louisville and some of the monarda still has it's leaves.

I think this little plant it a great value.

"Amazingly sturdy and evenly mounded plants. Flowers are vibrant... blanketing the plant and holding for a long period. Thrives in Zone 5 clay even when neglected."
