"Its still better then your store bought variety but I think its still lacking. Its production was good but not as much as Early Girl or my favorite, Fourth of July."

"Celebrity is a beautiful looking tomato. The plants are very vigorous and strong. Mine only grew to small/medium size. The taste was good."

One of the better Hybrids,
December 26, 2007 Submitted byLakeErieGarden from Lorain, OH
"This used to be the best tomato of all the hybrids. Maybe it still is. Pretty good taste for a hybrid and the disease resistance is excellent. I'd compare this to a poor man's Rutger's for taste but as for the for looks, productivity and disease resistance this arguably is a top 5 tomato all time."

"This was one of my first gardens and I would not call myself even an average gardner. This tomato did fabulos dispite any lack of skill on my part. I live in west texas grew this tomato in a raised bed, didn't thin it out(I should have) and didn't stake it(I really wish I did) the plant did super, lots of really good looking fruit, great experience, I'm growing it, and some more this year, and yes I'm thinning and staking it this time. The taste was good by the way."

"I've grown 'Celebrity' for a few years, and it is a very good tasting tomato. The fruits are of uniform size and are generally free from problems. The plants could be a bit more prolific, don't expect a lot of tomatoes unless your conditions are ideal for tomatoes."
