However this year, this plant produced tomatoes before I get even get the plant transplanted to the ground! The plant grows nice, big tomatoes. However, be careful with overwatering, or too much rainfall. The Celebrity did not like to be watered more than once or twice a week, yet grows like a tall vine. Give it room and a tomato cage to help give it support." I got a constant production of large, meaty tomatoes from both of the plants (I actually ended up giving them away by the bag-full because there were too many for us! ). They had less seeds which was nice and a subtle but good flavor. Would plant again but i don't have room, am going to try the big rainbows this year =] only complaint about this tomato was its proneness to cracking, just watch your watering before each harvest." Well, it came out with both good and bad results. The bad included no ripe tomatoes until the middle of September when we should be getting them in mid-August, and they laid out on the ground like lazy dogs. The good included a bumper crop of 12-16 ounce fruits, with hardly a blemish. I sent some home with my mom who was visiting from AZ, and she said it was better than she used to grow in our garden by Minneapolis. I have always liked these tomatoes, but now they are a staple on that end of the garden." My soil has been contaminated over the years by smokers dropping cigarette butts in the garden but still produces great tomatoes with the Celebrity plants. Beautiful fruit with as good a flavor as any tomato you might plant. If in doubt about diseases, plant this one."
