"This is probably the best Italian style eggplant I have ever grown. The yield is very good, and the fruit are just the perfect size and shape, not overwhelmingly large. The flavor is just wonderful, and the seeds are so few and small we hardly notice them at all. We prepare them thinly sliced on the grill with only virgin olive oil, salt and pepper - out of his world flavor. And of course, eggplant parmigiana has been made more than once this Summer in my kitchen with this excellent variety. This will be a staple eggplant from now on in my garden."

First Time Eggplant Grower, April 10, 2009

"My wife loves eggplant, so made extra room for 2 plants last year. Hardy seeds and growers, but didn't start them early enough. With the AZ heat, we only harvested a few. Very tastey, skin is not thick or tough, firm but not woody flesh. She loved them, so it gets a 5 even though we didn't have a lot of experience with this one. Growing 2 more this year, but started much earlier. Almost ready to harvest in April. ;)"

"I'm a huge eggplant fan. As a substitute for a constant stream of meat based dishes, eggplant can't be beat.

Growing eggplant was a first for me this year and out of 3 varieties, this one is my favorite in all possible respects.

Germination was fantastic for this seed packet and the tiny sprouts were strong right from the start. After transplant, I lost none, which can't be said for any other veggie in my garden. The production cycle was very quick with our hot Norfolk summer starting early this year.

I thought the poor plants might get worn out early, but they simply kept on setting fruit in a reliable fashion. Because so many survived transplant, I wound up with some that had to remain in 16 inch containers. These produced just as much as the ground plants though the fruit was slighly smaller.

The eggplants themselves are extremely tasty, with smooth flesh that lacked bitterness even if I left them on a few extra days. Seeds were small and skins very easy to remove.

A delicious specimen I heartily recommend!"
