"This was the first year I've planted watermelons, and wasn't sure which variety to plant. I planted two crimson sweet plants, which grew quickly and spread out quickly as well. The yield was small, about 1.5 fruit per plant, but each one was bigger than a basketball and was absolutely wonderful. We ate one right out of the garden, which was sweet with a great texture, and although seeded, wasn't overly so. The second we refrigerated before eating. This one was excellent as well. I may add another variety next year, but I will be planting Crimson Sweets every year from now on!"
