With only 2 plants we get enough for huge batches of picante sauce and plenty more for pickling. Did have a small problem with aphids this spring, but a little spray and they were gone. Grew them in WOWs and they withstood 2 or 3 frosts of about 20 degrees. Highly recommend for cream cheese filled jalapeno poppers. Large size and strong walls." (read all my reviews) Plant performance: 5 out of 5 Taste: 5 out of 5 Yield: 5 out of 5 "These are some of the hottest jalapeno peppers i have ever had! Their flavor was awesome, and they were excellent in chili, pickeled with green tomatoes, salsa, grilled and added to fajitias, and my favorite, made into hot sauce! My hot sauce was excellent, and my neighbors kept coming back for refills. i had 8 plants started from seeds and they bloomed into October, although they were not as big as the fruits in July, August, September, they tasted just as good. They were grown in direct sun, a little pepper spray for the bugs(until plant matured), and only watered when they showed signs of wilting. i am going to try the biker billys this year to get more heat, let you know at the end of this year!" I started my Burpee seeds late indoors around March 1, and transplanted them outdoors the beginning of June. I wanted to transplant earlier but the month of May in the North East was to Cold. It did'nt matter. The Plant was fast growing with many Flowers and an abundance of mildly Hot perfect Peppers. I was so pleased, I potted the Plant and brought it indoors. I can't wait to start the process all over again.
