Marigold Snowball Hybrid - 1 Pkt (50 seeds)

"This is without a doubt a plant that must be grown in your garden. Incredibly free flowering, you will have ample blooms to brighten the garden as well as grace fresh arrangements. Strong stemmed upright plants grow to 24"" tall and proudly display full 3"" globes of the whitest marigold we have ever grown. Try them with warm colored zinnias, salvias or celosias.

Can be sown directly in the garden after all chance of frost, or start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost for earlier bloom. Grow in full sun and space plants 12-14"" apart in the garden.
Tip:Remove spent blooms and fertilize regularly to promote fuller, more robust blooms.

Sorry, Cannot ship plants to Hi or Ak."

"This was the first time I had started Marigolds from seed. The Snowballs were very vigorous and covered with blooms. I only grew them in containers this year, but next year they are going all over my yard. Even in relatively small containers, the plants grew to about 2 ft. tall. I was very pleased."

"I am a novice to Florida gardening, however these started right away and grew very easily. I found that they really needed to be staked to withstand heavy rainfall. Also - needed fertilizing to keep large blossoms. Was also great in containers - was in part sun - with the afternoon shade. Florida afternoon sun would wilt the plants."

Strong from Seed, May 28, 2006

"I began this seed at least 8 weeks before moving it outside. It is a strong starter. After a few inches tall, it becomes very bushy. This is a very easy strong marigold. My only complaint is that the color varies. The bud begins greenish yellow. As the flower opens, it is buttery yellow. It isn't until it fully opens that a light yellowish white flower matures. Some flowers are whiter than others."
