"I have grown this plant for 5 years now, and it has not disappointed me. The winter of 2005-2006 was very mild, and most of the plants survived! You can also try taking cuttings and overwintering them indoors, but watch out for aphids and other pests."

"Salvia is a proven performer in my garden with it's only findable fault being that it needs to be dead-headed often to encourage new flower shoots. Bees love 'em, which help the rest of the garden, and they last well as cut flowers! Easy to grow and not "needy" by any means in the water department. Heat tolerant! "
