"I've started these under lights for my garden for three years and love them. The orange flower against deep green leaves are beautiful, and I place them under a maple tree where nothing else can tolerate the shade. I hope to buy these again."

"Like the other two reviewers, I initially had trouble getting these seeds to germinate. But after some trial and error I figured it out. I put them in a domed seed started over a heating pad out of the sun. The humidity got them to emerge after three weeks. As soon as I saw small flecks fo green, I put them in the sun. And they were spectacular this year. Planted them in May. By September they were three feet tall with millions of orange flowers. I nearly cried when the frost took them. Don't give up on these. They are well worth the struggle! And Burpee, please don't discontinue them. Just give a little better directions and your growers will love em! Good luck."

"I loved the pic on the website and was keen to get them going early indoors, which I wanted to be shades of orange and purple this year... I have bought two batches of seeds now and nothing ... very frusterating. I wish Burpee would sell the plants. "

"These are absolutely beautiful flowers; however the germination performance leaves a lot to be desired. Last year 9 of 25 seeds germinated, and this year 6 of 25 germinated, after allowing 6 weeks at a temp of 72 degrees."
