"These turned out not to be worth the time or money. After ordering 2 bags and getting a 3rd one to try to see if that one would work, we found that NONE of them worked as advertised. This was very disappointing. To make a note though, these are NOT made of peat, they are made of coconut coir. We were not happy with these and had to get our money back on this product. Burpee was nice to deal with, but we will not be buying these EVER again!! Please do not waste your time with these."

"I used a lot of these, as well as Burpee's pellets, this winter to get my garden started. They both worked great -- all of my seedlings came up, and they're thriving wonderfully. Although both brands performed equally well from a plant standpoint, I preferred these Jiffy pellets because the netting is a lot easier to work with (the material around Burpee's pellets is thicker and taller and sometimes gets in the way of the seedling, if the seed sprouts off-center. I had to trim several pellets down with scissors.) However, I do prefer the trays that came with the Burpee domed starter kits, so going forward, I'll use the Jiffy pellets with the Burpee trays. It's all good!"
