"I ordered this plant several years ago. It has been spindly and short lived in the clay soil, though I have improved the soil repeatedly. However, I have gotten many compliments from people walking through the neighborhood. I have moved to a different area, still in northern Il, but this used to be farmland and has beautiful black soil. I am reordering this plant and hoping for better results in improved soil. It is a very pretty plant, with a nice, old fashioned look."

"I have had these Verbascums in my garden for several years. They have been consistent performers and are a beautiful peach shade with pink accents. They don't like very hot sun and tend to wilt a little in the late afternoon. They also need a little staking to look their best but I think they are worth it."

"Zone 6. May need stake/cage during rain/wind. Color is unique pastel combo. Has three flushes during the growing season. Color has an eclectic appearance in the garden."

"I've grown these from seed started indoors, plants, and root tip cuttings I took myself. It is remarkably easy to propagate and vigorous in well drained soil. What impressed me so much was the recurring bloom- three and sometimes four times here in zone four (if cut back). A must have for cut flowers, but the plant isn't so much to look at. Likes support."
