Useful for tomatoes, too, August 12, 2009

"I have purchased several of these pea fences. To grow tomatoes, I put two fences side-by-side and plant the tomatoes in the diamond shape made by the partially folded fences. They hold the plants well, and do not tip over, even in high wind.

I've also used them to hold-up soy beans, and black beans to keep the plants from sprawling on the ground.

Cucumbers and small melons also like these fences."

"Although this is a nice pea fence, it is NOT 8 feet long. When fully extended (flat) it is only 7 feet long; therefore it is useful only for abot 6 feet when slightly accordioned"

"I purchased this fence for cucumbers this year. I have 45 plants on it. It was easy to install (just push it in the ground) and it hasn't swayed or moved at all thru some very Texas sized storms. It's nice and long too at 16' total. Excellent Product!"

"this was awesome last year. I grew the sugar snap peas on this fence and they were easy to pick (and delicious too). This year we're growing peas and the heirloom lemon cucumbers on the same fences, and I'm certain I'll have great results. I have a couple of extra fences that I'll use in large plastic containers at mom's on the deck so she can have easy to harvest peas too. My favorite gardening accessory for sure!"
