"It does take a little effort, but once you get your groove down, it's easy. It operates pretty much like a classroom pencil sharpener and I found that if I do just a few beans at a time, they come out perfectly. The frencher is adjustable and it fit very well on the lip of my countertop. What I do for catching the beans, if you have one, place a TV table underneath the bean frencher with a wide bowl positioned underneath it. That has worked great for me, but yes, of course you have your few rogue escapees. All in all though, I prefer beans this way, so 20 some dollars to achieve this was definitely worth it."
