"I planted two rows of Gold Mine beans in 2005, and I have never seen such a beautiful crop. Each plant seemed to produce dozens of the longest, straightest beans you can imagine. They were absolutely picture perfect. My mother, a Horticulturist who owned a greenhouse for years, commented that there was more bean than plant! They were so easy to pick as they grow in clumps on sturdy stems. I pulled most of my bush beans in August, but the Gold Mines held up well to the dry summer so I just left them. About 3 or 4 weeks after the first crop dwindled, there was another beautiful crop of late beans! They froze well and kept the color and crispness we love in fresh vegetables. Absolutely my favorite Burpee vegetable."

"I planted these next to Eureka Yellow Bush, and of course Eureka way outperformed them. Yet, they were easy, low-maintenance and produced steadily. They are reliable but not an overachiever. If you want an overachiever, plant Eureka instead."

"Maybe not quite a gold mine. But definately delicious. I found that only the first harvest is worth eating. second harvest way too tough! But these are definatley worth growing. I canned 68 quarts off of the first harvest. (1 pack of seed) AND THE flavor of these beans is excellent They are definatley DELICIOUS!"

"We planted just 2 - 4' rows, in a raised bed, on March 28th. We harvested approximately 4 lbs. on May 7th! We literally got tired of picking these beans. There is an amazing amount still left on the plants! This is the only yellow bean to grow. The flavor is fantastic, too!"
