I won't grow these again,

"I mistakenly ordered these seeds, but thought it would be o.k. The seeds all sprouted and looked very healthy. I got a nice batch of average-tasting tomatoes (not a strong tomato flavor), but I've had to throw out dozens since. They turned white (a friend said they were sunburned) and then rotted. Most cracked as well (I only watered them once a week). Maybe they aren't the best tomato for northern California???"

"I sprouted all thirty of my seeds from the packet and gave a few plants to both my sisters. I planted 17 plants in my garden. I let a few of them grow with very little fertilizer and they put out about 6-8 nice tomatoes at a time while the ones I fed tomato food loaded up with about 4-5 clusters of 3-6 tomatoes. Needless to say I've been picking five to six succulent tomatoes every day for the last two weeks and the plants are setting more fruit and continuing to ripen the existing clusters. One plant I fed about three times as often as the others and one of the tomatoes is about the size of two softballs stuck together. The taste is out of this world. You'll never eat a store bought tomato after these. This is the tomato to grow if you like gourmet BLTs."

Terrific Tomatoes,

"I try to grow at least 4 different varieties of tomato in my garden each year. Steak Sandwich has to be one of the best I've ever grown over many years. They produced delicious large fruits with exceptional texture and flavor. Perfect for a sandwich or hamburger - or just eat it like an apple!
One note of caution - this tomato is not for wimpy tomato cages - I had heavy duty 4 foot cages for mine last year and still ended up with so much fruit that they collapsed and had to be propped up!"

"I thought this tomato was outstanding. I've gotten such a bumper crop out of just three plants (planted in Earth Boxes). The huge, perfectly round fruits are rosy pink. The taste is awesome...syrupy, but not too sweet. And OMG...so meaty with a taste that lingers long after. I am so happy with this variety and will plant again next year.
Now if you excuse me, I've made myself a bit hungry for one....."
