easy growing lime basil, May 17, 2008
Submitted by RedZone from Formerly Rockport, MA now Sarasota, FL
"I love this basil the flavor reminds me of a cross between thai basil and kaffir lime. I grew 36 plants last summer in eastern massachussets. I found the growth to be simple -- i started from seed in a 50/50 mixture of loam/organic compost. In 3 months i had mature plants and wowed my customers with some new, great, different flavors. A must for any skilled gardener to atleast give it a try. The results are amazing in proper soil."

"This is the first time I have had any luck growing basil from seed in my garden. Kind of surprised when it came up. Planted about 10 seeds and got 3 plants. The taste is very interesting. Have used it on seafood and poultry. I always try to do a few different plants every year and this turned out to be a nice suprise."
