Very Beautiful, August 26, 2009

"I planted these with some bachelor buttons, zinnias, and African daisies. They are perfect in the back row along with some of the seashell cosmos.

They started very well with about a 90% germination, and grew to their 48 inch potential. I'm letting them go to seed so I'll have a more natural look for years to come. They reseed themselves quite well."

"I wasn't sure what a cosmos was, but I really liked the picture on the website, so I threw a packet in my order with other things. I remembered the name because my grandmother grew them when I was small, but I didn't remember what they looked like. Mine are growing in California adobe, amended with sand, in the full hot sun of the foothills. And they are doing magnificently! What a lovely burst of color. I haven't cut any yet, because they've only been blooming for about 2 weeks, but other reviews on this site have encouraged me to cut for bouquets."

"These flowers become waterlogged when it rains and do not recover. The plants grew so tall, they tipped over and the roots ripped out of the ground!"

A great cosmos...., July 12, 2007

"Topped out at about 36inches....bloomed non-stop even without deadheading all the time. If deadheaded....the blooms come again very fast. We had a constant supply of cut flowers..."
