"I purchased this garden hod last year. It is my favorite container for picking veggies. The small spacing insured nothing falls out."

Great Hod!, September 19, 2008
Submitted by ILoveVeggies from NJ
"I am so happy with this Garden Hod. I did not buy it for years because it cost almost $40, which I felt was high.

I finally broke down and purchased the Garden Hod and am thrilled that I did! The Hod has a perfect shape for collecting your harvest from the vegetable garden; the wide opening allows you to throw your pole green beans into it (without missing!) with out having to bend down to carefully place them into the container.

I like that it is not too deep as well. Which turns out to be a good shape for collecting veggies as you can see your collection better if they are all spread out and not layers and layers on top of each other.

The spacing of the wires is really great; the spacing is narrow enough that almost all veggies(even small pea pods) do not sneak out as the hod is moved around.

I like that the wires are covered in the green plastic. It is attractive and does not corrode.
You can hose off your veggies while they are still in the hod before you bring them in the house. This is especially great for dirt-laden produce like potatoes or carrots.

The Garden Hod is also very attractive! It is a great tool. I love it. I wish I bought it sooner."

Kitchen Hod, September 10, 2008
Submitted by PeggySue from central IL
"The Kitchen Hod is the smaller of the two Hods and is just the right size for holding both large and small tomatos. The wire basket has the perfect spacing to keep veggies in. It is very comfortable to carry."

I love my garden hod!, April 23, 2006
Submitted by TomatoLady from Jamestown, NY
"My mother kept sneaking off with mine, so it will make a great gift for her this year. This hod beats pails, baskets and bags hands down. I pick into it, rinse under the spigot, and bring it right in to the kitchen. It is so stylish that I don't feel the urge to hide it away on the porch immediately, but show it off to fellow gardeners. Wire mesh is close enough to hold beans and peas. Sturdy enough to hold heavy squash or tomatos. So far, with moderate care, it has held up very well."
