Sweet Nufar Hybrid Basil,
February 9, 2009

"Every year we grow around 70-90 basil plants so we can have plenty of pesto every week, share with friends/family and treat our three bunnies. Due to fusarium wilt I was really interested in trying the Sweet Nufar hybrid. Last summer I planted 1/3 Genovese basil and 2/3 Sweet Nufar Hybrid. I started them in seed flats side by side. I had very poor germination with the Nufar Hybrid but that was my only complaint. Once they got started the plants thrived, producing large leaves that were easy to pick and made wonderful pesto. This year I will grow only Nufar Hybrid."
