"I tried growing tomatillas for the first time last year with this variety. Started them indoors in peat pots and got them outside early. I was rewarded with lots of nice, large, tasty fruits. But guess what!!?? I didn't know better than to put them close to my tomatoes...so I ended up with some really weird hybrid fruits once my various tomatoes started flowering! This year I will grow these in a totally different section of my garden and see if I can get tomatilla fruits all season. A real learning experience for me. Also a note - I don't use pesticides. These plants seemed quite hardy and bug free. I planted marigolds all around and in between my veggies and was able to get great, bug free fruits. If you like salsas and other Mexican foods, you'll like this tomatilla."
