Razzle Dazzle,

"This plant produces lots of uniform size tomatoes but it seems they stay hard for a very long time; it takes longer than the Burpee Big Boy for the fruit to ripen. Even when they are totally red on the outside they are not ripe inside."

Wonderful!,
July 26, 2008 Submitted bytarnee19 from Hamilton, NJ
"I started these plants from seeds indoors first and then I moved them out to my raised bed when they grew about 7 inches tall. While I was pulling them out to sow them outdoor i tore many roots off from these plants, for a few i even tore off all the roots but i still sowed them outdoor thinking who knows maybe a miracle will happen and they will grow back. To my surprise, a miracle did happen all of the plants grew extremely strong and wonderfully. I simply love these bushy plants and they have taken half of my bed already so sweet of them. Recently they started to flower and some started fruit already. I grew about 12 of them and my sister told me that they will grow plenty for the two of us :-) I can wait to see these fruits ripe and red! Take a look at my plants...I love them!!!!!!!!"

My favorite tomato of 2008,
January 17, 2008 Submitted byBurpeeExpert from Doylestown, PA
"I love the smooth, silky texture and mild sweet taste of this one. It slices up perfectly and has just the right ratio of gel to solids. The color is just gorgeous – it’s a rich, deep raspberry color quite different than either the pink or red tomatoes you usually grow. It’s my favorite of our 2008 tomatoes."
