WONDERFUL,
March 29, 2009

"These were absolutely fantastic tomatoes, I grew them last year as an experiment and was extremely pleased! The plants were extremely prolific growing much larger than i had expected, pushing far out and above their large cages(6ft.high 3ft. around!) - they need space! They took longer to produce fruit than my other tomatoes(celebrity, roma, beefsteak) but were well worth the wait, When they finally took off I could barely keep up with all of the tomatoes coming off of them! The large, soft yellow fruits had a wonderful mild yet tangy flavor. The low acidity actually made them a big hit for a friend of mine who couldnt eat high acid foods because of the flavor so had never liked tomatoes, she loved these and was able to eat them without a problem. I just cant say enough good about these, the plants were very resistant to bugs and disease, i didn't have a single problem with them. We had so many tomatoes we ended up having to give them away by the bag, everyone loved them!
only complaint: more gel and seeds than i like, personal preference. otherwise absolutely fantastic tomato. I will be growing them again this year for sure."

"Often advertized as mild, but I find that it does have that great tangy tomato flavour, just not very strong acidity. The plants always grow strong and have great production, very dependable. Occasionally I get one well over a pound. I grow Lemon Boy every year."

More like Kumquat Boy,

"When perfectly ripe, these beautiful tomatoes are much more orange than yellow. Some green remains on the shoulders. The flesh is pale yellow with great texture. Tasted very good: mild flavor but fruity, tart and tangy too. Thin skin and very juicy. Most are medium sized, but many are large (up to 1 lb). Got the first ripe one after only 65 days, the others took about 75 or more days."
