"This corn was beautiful and wonderful- especially compared with another Burpee variety I planted, Early Sunglow (see my other review). The ears were large and even and the husks were tight (not bothered by any pests), and the kernals were very tender, delectable eating, except if they stayed on the stalk too long and even then I cut the kernals off the ears for freezing for corn bread, etc during the winter. The corn kept well after picking, too. This corn will be a repeat for me for sure. There might be sweeter varieties but the other great attributes of this corn make up for that."
"My second season as a home gardner with this variey. Seeds were even from those left over from last year. Still got 75% germination, and very happy with that! Had my first ear today..AWESOME!! ...Not quite 8" in length, but perfectly formed. VERY sweet..steamed for 9 min. Started seeds inside in 2" peat pots, and planted here in MA on May 31st, pot and all. Soil temp was @ about 50 degrees. Besure to consider this one for next year!! Thanks Burpee!!!"
